Markham’s Victoria Chan Wins The iFactor in 2011

Photo of iFactor 2011 winner Victoria ChanTORONTO CNIB is pleased to announce that Victoria Chan from Markham, Ontario has been named The iFactor winner for 2011.  The 23-year-old received a standing ovation for her stunning versions of The Prayer and Time to Say Goodbye at the live finale on August 20 at CNIB Lake Joseph Centre in Muskoka, Ontario.

As the recipient of the Joe Finley Award, Victoria won a chance to be the opening act for legendary Canadian singer-songwriter Terry Kelly at a concert yet to be determined and a trip for two to a Canadian destination.

The 1st runner-up was Adrien Breda from Willowdale, Ontario and the 2nd runner-up was Sammie Korosi from Ottawa, Ontario.

Chan is a soprano who hopes to have a successful career in singing. Her dream is to become a female Bocelli. Chan holds ARCTs (Associate of the Royal Conservatory of Music, RCM) in Voice Performance and Piano Performance.
