Grab your Apple device and come join us for this introductory session where we will explore the basics from turning on your device to identifying which accessibility features are best suited for you. This is part one of a four-part series of group sessions that will help guide participants through the basics of using an iPhone and iPad (as well as understanding and using the built-in accessibility features). Each session includes 90 minutes of structured lecture delivery of material, followed by 60 minutes of individualized support. Join us for this introductory session where we will explore the basics from turning on a device to identifying which accessibility features are best suited for you. After this session, you will be able to hold your device correctly and identify important access points, identify the main accessibility, explain how the build-in accessibility features make Android devices easier to use. This is a four-part series of group sessions that will help guide participants through the basics of using Android devices, as well as understanding and using the built-in accessibility features. It is recommended that participants take all sessions, but participants can choose the sessions best suited for their needs. Thursday, September 12, 26, October 3, 10.

Each month we’ll explore a new topic: History, geography, science, travel, social trends, etc. This month’s Curiosity Club will explore the world of scent! Tracey Tief, Certified Natural Health Practitioner, of Anarres Natural Health, will lead a workshop on the use of scent in creating safe and delightful body care products. You’ll get the chance to sample many aromatic oils, and you’ll make your own scented perfume/cologne to take home! To help pay for supplies a $10 contribution is encouraged but not required. Come out for a fun conversation.

Referred to as Toronto’s founding landscape, Fort York National Historic Site is also a Heritage Conservation District, a registered archaeological site, and home to Canada’s largest collection of original War of 1812 buildings. Participants will be led on an adapted tour of the museum, focusing on period objects we can touch, period musical instruments and the songs they played, and an experience of a soldier’s drill.
