TORONTO – CNIB is pleased to announce the appointment of Linda Goldblatt as Executive Director for the GTA division. In this newly-created position, Ms. Goldblatt will lend her extensive experience in human resources and organizational effectiveness to help CNIB enhance the way it delivers vital programs and services across the GTA.
“We’re delighted to have Linda begin the next phase of her career with us at CNIB,” said John Rafferty, president and CEO, CNIB. “Over the next few years we’ll be looking to optimize how we deliver and communicate our services, particularly in geographic areas like the GTA where there are large populations with diverse backgrounds and needs. Linda’s experience in helping companies enhance the way they do business is a welcome asset to CNIB as we continue to evolve as an organization.”
Working with other members of CNIB’s senior management team in Ontario, Ms. Goldblatt will play a key role in helping CNIB increase its presence in the GTA through a variety of initiatives, including the opening of additional offices as well as securing shared space with key community partners. Ms. Goldblatt will also assess the region’s current policies, partnerships, and infrastructure with the goal of developing effective strategies that will help meet the diverse needs of CNIB’s growing client base.
Ms. Goldblatt comes to CNIB with more than 20 years of experience in human resources, change management, policy and program development, and organizational planning. She has held positions at various organizations including Loblaw Companies Limited, Kellogg Canada and Canadian Tire, where she provided integrated human resource solutions to achieve business objectives and enhance organizational effectiveness. She also developed employee learning programs that enabled the successful roll out of key strategic programs.
“Vision loss first touched my family a number of years ago, so when the opportunity to join CNIB came, I knew it was a wonderful way to use my experience and give back to the community at the same time,” said Ms. Goldblatt. “I’m looking forward to working with the CNIB team in Ontario and bringing best industry practices to help strengthen our ties in the community.”
