What are congenital eye conditions?

Congenital eye conditions are a group of various conditions that are present from birth and can affect your eyes or sight. Some congenital eye conditions are passed on through genes, while others can be a result of disease or deficiency during pregnancy. 

Congenital eye conditions can cause partial sightedness or blindness. Come conditions can be immediately apparent in an baby, while others are not diagnosed until later in life.
