CNIB Halifax's monthly social includes lunch and a guest speaker with sight loss sharing the story of their journey.
This month, we’re pleased to welcome Dennis McCormack, an author, poet, musician, and longtime member of the CNIB community. Dennis attended the Halifax School for the Blind before earning degrees from Saint Mary’s University and the University of Toronto. He went on to help establish the Atlantic Braille Press before spending nearly three decades working with CNIB.
Join us for a conversation about Dennis’s remarkable journey starting with his early years, his experience of blindness and low vision, retirement and his creative pursuits including hearing some of his recorded music.
To ensure we have the right amount of food and sufficient seating, please RSVP if you plan on attending!
The CNIB Halifax Social meets on Thursday, November 26 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at CNIB Halifax.
Please be advised that you must register for all programs. We kindly ask you to RSVP a minimum of 1 full business day before the start of the program.
Registration required. To register, please contact Jeff DeViller, Executive Director, CNIB Maritimes at jeff.deviller@cnib.ca or call 902-456-5982.
